About the author

Julie Pellisser-Lush was around three years old when she lost her mother to lymphatic cancer. To this day, Julie's mother remains in her mind as a beautiful, strong, Aboriginal woman who Julie wishes she had known longer. Because of losing her so young, Julie has made her life an ongoing journey to find out who exactly her mother was in order to continue her own journey to figure out her identity.
