William Simpson is an international artist, whose career began in comic strip art, working on a range of character icons: Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, Batman, Transformers, Hellblazer, Tyranny Rex, Aliens, Vamps and Indiana Jones.In recent years he has developed his work in the film industry providing storyboards for a variety of feature films, as well as for Game of Thrones. His work for Renegade includes the Shades of Grey series.

Lovern is regarded as one of comics' most influential award winning colorists, with multiple Eisner Award nominations and is also an inductee into the Joe Shuster Comic Book Awards Hall of Fame. Lovern is also a successful author, having written titles for Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics,Renegade Arts Entertainment and Heavy Metal Magazine, he is best-known for the acclaimed series of fantasy books about Shame for Renegade.
