Born in New Orleans, Denise Gallagher is an artist and graphic designer currently living in Lafayette, Louisiana. Denise has received awards from the Society of Illustrators New York, the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, Communication Arts Magazine, and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and her work has been displayed in museums across the USA.

She is the author and illustrator of A Tip Tap Tale (ULPress), and the illustrator of, among others, Jean-le-Chasseur et ses chiens (Bouton d'or Acadie) and Peg Bearskin.
