Description

Anna's daily routine is life, death, bureaucracy. Every call she receives is an emergency. How much trouble is our city in? Vitals is a solo show presenting the story of Anna, a Toronto paramedic. Based on real interviews conducted with local EMS workers, Vitals weaves together a canvas of affecting, poignant and disturbing emergency stories and explores their impact on the responder to these calls.

About the author

Playwright Rosamund Small burst onto the theatre scene with her verbatim play, Performing Occupy Toronto, an epic production featuring one hundred characters played by fifty actors aged 16 to 21. Her second play, Genesis and Other Stories, is a rambunctious meta-theatrical comedy that explores the story of a cast of misfits performing a play about Adam and Eve. Vitals is her third play. Rosamund is currently the Playwright-In-Residence with Toronto's Outside the March Company.
