Description

Hartsfield visits the Texas of her childhood, revealing some of the darkly humourous, as well as volatile, elements of growing up in an oppressive religious environment. This is a dazzling collection of lively and luminous poems, many of which resonate with a song-like quality that reflects her passion for music.
